My fox coral has one growing on its base rock and it appears to have been stung by it. What should I do? I have a peppermint shrimp who seems to be only interested in hiding. I can use the cut and lemon juice method but I'm not sure if my coral can stay out of water long enough. Any advice?
Thanks,
Serafino

use coral clippers aka bone pliers and cut the part of the rock inbetween the anme and fox discard the rock if tha is not possible(if your anenome has attached to the coral itself) the consider fraggin the original fox and killing the mother colony or removing that rock to a different tank or possibly try the lemon mehtod and hope mpother colony lives.

just inject a small amount of lemon juice into the base of the anemone. Lemon juice works awsome but be careful to not use to much to mess with the pH and ALK. The fox will be fine as long as the lemon juice comes into to contact with only the anemone. go to the vets office and get a smally syringe and needle. That will do the trick.

Sounds like a good idea. I'll try it.

Or you can inject it with boiling fresh water and accomplish the same thing without messing with delicate coral tissues and parameters. Either way.
