stupid oscar...

alright yall talked me into and it just happened to be that my uncle was gettin rid of his 125 gallon so he sold me it (for a pretty penny) now u say leave the jacks and the parrots in the 55 with one oscar in a tank by himself (except a plecostomaus) is there anything that can live with a oscar?

Oscars are great fish, but for one full-sized oscar, you need at least a 125 gallon tank. They get big and are very messy. If you keep other fish with him, thay must be at least the same size or bigger than the oscar. They are fairly peaceful cichlids but they will eat anything that can fit in it's mouth.
Try living in a studio apartment with six other roommates and see how fast you would become aggressive and want to kill each other...

its all a matter of opinion, and personally I'd support the guy who says 125g over the guy who says 75g, for an oscar.

I think too many hobbiests out there need to emphasize respecting the fish, rather than respecting their own selfish wants.
