Think it would be ok to paint the back of my 55g tank with the stock still in it? I was just wondering with the fumes getting in the water from the air and filter movement.

On that I went with black Tahitian moon sand, but many people prefer pool sand over play sand and the such.

i painted the back of my tank while it was full of water and fish. just use a latex paint and roll it on, brush it on, or use krylon fusion spray paint, but cover the top of your tank obviously.

Ya time for change. I change my tank decor as much as my underwear  pool sand and black background is needed.

its only a growout tank so i never really cared to much what it looked like just wanted places for them to hide. But its in my computer room so i see this tank the most and im going nutz
