I know all the puffer do jump if they are stress so I am just wondering if these guys jump out to the floor and my dog go lick or chew on it is he gonna get poison from the puffer? I having a small dog that always picking stuff on the floor at home so i Just wanna make sure before I purchase them.

Hmmmm... I've read somewhere that due to diet and environment in home aquaria over time they supposedly lose or weaken their TTX poison...
Now dont quote me on this as i only remember reading about this once somewhere, but cannot gurantee whether or not it has any merit...
Honestly i would say to play it safe add a lid, since even without the posion, if the puffer is swallowed before it inflates, it could potentially block your dogs airway...

I planning to keep it in full marine and i gonna add a intank skimmer in it so a glass lid cant fit on it. I guess my choice are only diy mesh screen top or egg crate.
a lid of some description is a must with these. mine is a very happy puffer and i run my water on a monthly cycle adding salt at the beginning of the month to around 1.010 then i do FW changes adding a little mid month and then repeat. i sit here on an evening sometimes and here him splash as he chases movement or what ever but they seem to like to jump lol none of my other puffers do this.
