my rtg's scales are almost a deep purple colour, i will take a pic to show i just wanted to know if the purple is here to stay or if it will fade when hes older, the intense purple just started coming in a few days ago. i don't use flash its just the light coming in from the window its not as visible with the aquarium lights. some of his scale are rough looking but are getting better

i hope so to, also hoping that some of his chipped scales grow back they are looking better than a few days ago:)
 
How big is it?? I got 2 small RTG that looks the same and 1 thats getting his goldish look. All the same size and from the same place.. So i was confused about it to. They look more purple in a spec angle. Never seen it before
 
mine is from the kaiju farm in Singapore he is roughly 13- 15" hes had the gold since he was about 9 or so inches and now this purple is coming in and blueish behind that really nice looking post some pics of yours.:)
 
so does anyone know if the colour will stay or is it just a juvi thing
 
Nope. I see some goldish development near the core area already. Unless there's a much clearer picture?

i cant get any better pics since hes always moving. i will try, but if he has gold at the core of the scales are the scales going to be all gold?
