Has anyone used a liquid algae destroyer? There are numerous ones that are safe for fish and plants. Just curious if anyone had any luck good or bad?

I have power compact lighting on my tanks and man it grows fast in there, arms are getting sore from scrubbing!

Or have any of you used a phosphate pad with good results?

should be ray safe as well. I would keep the tank away from direct sunlight and possibly can your lighting.

just did a water change, I know the problem is Ive been keeping the lights on too long. Also I use tap water which has phosphates in it. Phosphates act like a food or fertilizer for algae. I think Im going to add a phosphate pad and cut down on the lights . . .

dont use it.. prob kill your rays... if its water born get a uv and up your water changes... if its on your tank wipe it away and do more water changes...

Yeah i dont think Im going to add any liquid destroyer, Good old elbow grease will have to work.(and less time with the lights on)

And Ill have to fing the uv, its still in a box somewhere after the move

ive never been a fan of chemical crap. only chemical that goes in my tank is dechlorinator.

dude get a friggin light timer! $7 and it turns the lights on/off for you!
