So I have been feeding my leopard bush fish flakes recently. The flakes stay on the surface, so only they will eat them. I don't want to feed my biggest sen every day... I don't want him growing at an accelerated pace because I have two grow outs in a 10 gallon and he is the reason they are still in grow out. He is biggest sen, fatest sen, and has eaten a baby polli before.

So, the poly's only get fed every 3rd day. Bush fish everyday because I need the smaller ones to grow.

But today, old fatty sen decided he wanted to eat too... and came to the surface to eat freaking flakes out of the blue.

Freaking fat ass :irked:

yeah my sen will come up and eat bio-gold pellets that are for the jar and giant gourami, he's only like 3" he'll freak out with them til they soften and fall apart and can go down. crazy fish :D

lol yeah they're greedy

Mine just waits for the flakes to fall down and it'll pick it off from the floor.

why are you getting frustrated over the sen wanting to eat more than you're giving it? don't punish it because you got some sens too small to live with it right away.

Grow them out, be patient, and feed it better.

- I am not frustrated I thought it was funny

- 2-3x a week feeding is just fine.

- Feed it better? My fish normally get live black worms as their main food.

- I have a del and an ornate growing out in a 10 gallon. I would like to get them out of their as soon as possible. For one, the tank is small and I am doing water changes constantly. For two, the tank is small and the poly's are bickering.

- I just thought it was funny, that is all.
