This was the stupidest mistake ever: I bought a knight goby and some feeders from my LFS. well against my better judgement he had ich. but that's not the mistake. i put it in a 1g temporarily to treat it with the feeders for quarintine but when i got it from walmart they said it was 2.5 gallons so i put 2.5 gallons worth of meds in. long story short (not really) he was dead in the morning.

your fist mistake was buying ANY sort of fish/feeder from wally world. I could have told you that the goby was going to die and saved you a little loot

he/she bought the fish at an LFS, walmart only sells DRAGON gobies.

I say go with a 10 and up for a quarentine/hospital tank, the water isn't as volitile as in a smaller space/amount.

BTW, just because a fish comes from wally-world, doesn't mean that it's doomed from the start. I've had some really good fish bought from there, and some really bad fish. Some of my goldfish (who have come from there) I've had the longest, almost 3 years now!! (a record for me, since I haven't kept fish for a long time)

Bottom line, their advice may not always be reliable (which is why you should do your own research) but their fish aren't always so bad.

Thanks guys. The reason i had a 1g is because i had taken a break from fish (so sad) and i wanted to start up again but my mom restricted me. I got a 1g and put 3 goldfish in (bad idea i know) one of the goldfish was from Walmart and he lived the longest until he died.
