So today's the day for routine WCs. I decided to run two at once (my 55g and my 20g) just to get things done quicker. So after finishing up draining the 55g about 50%, I start on the 20 while the 55 fills up. Also while doing this, I go outside to dump the waste water into the ditch. Bad idea. I come back in to find that the 55g was overflowing onto my floor and the 20g was near empty with my Kenyi caught on the end of the gravel vac.
So I run and turn the hose off and run to the 20 and get the Kenyi out (no harm was done) of the vac. At this point my floor is completely soaked and smells of dirty fish water. So I lay some towels down for the time being to soak some of it up, fill the 20g back up, and come back to tend to the wetness. I soak as much of it up with about 5 towels as I can, set the blow dryer on it for about 30 minutes, and then get the rest out with the steam cleaner.
Needless to say, I learned my lesson. Sometimes it's better to spend the time on one tank. The results come out much better.
