I've googled this fish, it tells me that the fish can grow to a minimum of 8 feet. Is that the "Sturgeon Fish" that is commonly being sold in pet store?
Can anybody give me some info about Sturgeon Fish?

many fishs are sturgeons. what does the fish you want info about look like? a sterlet, tang, a beluga(doubt its that one)?

I am unable to get a pic now but the fish has a black back and sharp nose. It likes to twist with its nose above the water surface. lfs sells for $100 ebay sells $20+shipping=$40.

Its a cold water fush you wont be able to keep it with most tropical fish. Try the natives forum they would know better.

I'll give you a hint... It's not a catfish... Lol.
None of the sturgeon's/sterlets should be kept in tanks or ponds under 1,000 gallons anyways, and that's for the smaller growing species. I suggest much larger for the larger growing species.

Probably a sterlet or white sturgeon-I've seen both in stores. Sterlets get up around 4 feet. Whites can get over 8 feet.
