sturgeon in the fish tank

im getting a sterlet. what do i need? like a air pump, what type of substrate. needs as much info as possible

I'd put them on a soft substrate like sand (I use pool filter sand in my tank) so their barbels don't get damaged. An air pump is a good idea as they require a lot of oxygen. Also, sterlets don't really require cold water, but I would keep the temp. around the mid-70s or lower

agreed thats all they really require good luck i almost got one but when i found out how big they get i said i'll stick to my rtc's instead
