i have had three adriac sturgeon for about 5 months.i am just wondering if anybody else has this cool sturgeon? and does anybody know how big they get?thanks

Welcome to MFK!!!

Last year's record catch was 64" and 88lbs from the Po river. I used to keep several sturgeon species but can't anymore. I'm in too hot of a state (MS) for a sturgeon pond and my hatchery is uniformly heated to 82F.

Could be Acipenser brevirostrum Shot nose sturgeon have have you got a side on photo. I have got a diamond back sturgeon in my pond they are cool only see him when i clean the pond out

Thanks for the suggestion. That's what I thought, but the mottled brown/black coloration isn't in any of the scientific description for the shortnose sturgeon. They are very young so the side view of them isn't very helpful, since all species of sturgeon look morphologically alike more or less from the side at young age. Thanks again though.
