Well, seeing as I was getting no responses, I decided to go out on a limb. Bought a set of three pond lights. Fully submersible, with transformer, 20 watt halogen bulbs, and colored filters for each light (yellow, red ,blue and green), that just snap onto the front of the light face. 16' of cord. Lights are about 1.5" in Dia with adjustable heads....All for $40.00.
Put them in last night, didn't use the color filters, hooked them up to a power bar so I could have a switch to turn them on and off. I was concerned with the halogen bulbs heating up the water, but had them on approx 10 hrs last night and there was no change in temp. All the lights are hidden behind rocks and DW so they are not visible
I think it is kinda cool having light UNDER the fish. Makes a cool effect. I think LED's would be better tho as the light would be whiter.
I will try to post pics tonight. My tank is looking kinda crappy because the dw has changed my water to look like the bottom of the Amazon River!
