Substrate for Fahaka

Thinking about picking up a baby fahaka, hard to find one that is 6" plus around here so ill end up picking a 1-2" fahaka..


I currently have black substrate, my question is will that effect the nice bright yellow and purple stripes I usually see?

Can you post up a pic of your fahaka if you have black substrate

Imo, im pretty sure with a dark substrate they will try and match the color by darkening their stripes...

The yellow may or may nit become more vibrant however, although against darker stripes may appear that way...
