Substrate mix or lower

use to have a planted pank 60g with three in of flor sub in it. I never like the red look so I wanted to try mixing it in with a red brown rock looking sand. Can this be done? Or should I just layer it at the bottom.? Or can I juat use my sand/rocks and just add the iron into the tank somehow.

I don't see why you couldn't just mix it in. Also u can buy black flor. I have the red kind in one tank and the black in another

Ya I was thinking layers but I might just grab the black sub and crushed rock from a store thats gray ish in color. I just don't want to do 3inch gravel with sub. Does anyone have a photo of it mixed with other gravel?
