substrate or bare bottom?

im setting up a ten gallon reef should i put a substrate or leave it bare
i would have a good biological filter so substrate isnt nessasary for bioload
and would make it easier to clean. substrate is only needed aestheticaly.
my 55g has sugar sized Aragonite but is such a hassle siphoning it!!

post your suggestion on grainsize of substrate or if i should leave it bare bottom

I say put sand, just because it looks way better for a reef.
Only have bare bottoms on QT's.

don't have any BB tanks.. not even the QT

Oolite, sugar sand, grain size #2 i think...
