substrate or bare bottom?

im setting up a ten gallon reef. im debating whether to use substrate or leave tank bare bottom. id have good biofilter. so sand isnt needed for a bioload. my 55 has sugar sized aragonite. its so hard to clean!!!
substrate would be only needed aestheticly.

post your thoughts on bare bottom/ substrate grainsize.
