Substrate question?

I wasn't really sure where to post this, but a buddy of mine was thinking about using play sand to fill his aquarium. he wasn't sure if this was safe or not so I wanted to get people's thoughts on it being that I'm not sure myself. Will this work as a substrate? It is Quickcrete Play Sand.
Any and all opinions are greatly appreciated!

I use quikrete all purpose, love it. IMO looks way better than PFS, Quikrete all purpose looks like actual beech sand.

thanks. ill keep that in mind. him and myself have a few other tanks to put together including an aquatic turtle tank. that would be a nice substrate for them

It looks beautiful with a few river rocks! your turtles would love that sand!!
