Didn't expect it, I thought she ate her eggs again after the second laying. But I notice hundreds of fry swimming around her. It's been around three days and I scooped out about 100 fry and put them in a 20 gallon tank. I left about 300-400 fry with her. I noticed that the frys had a black horizontal line on them. So what do I do now? lol Here are some pics. I also noticed that she is chasing the male away from them. The male is still about 1/2" smaller than her, but he is catching up. When do I try to get the rest of the frys out before she eats them? Thanks.

she wll never eat them, they will do an amazing job of raising the fry, not anymore though

The male is in the other side of the tank, its a 6' tank. She won't let him go near her and the frys. Is that unusual? She's not attacking him, just won't let him get close to them.

Nice male. She is just protective of the fry. The male usually guards the perimeter. lol
