Ok, so I have a 12-13 inch Silver Arowana. For the longest I've been trying to introduce new foods to him. For whatever reason, I could never get him to accept anything live. I tried feeders, crickets, catepillars and other lil bugs i could find. Only thing he would eat was krill. On several attempts I would starve him in effort to introduce him to new foods but would get nervous around the 7th day and start feeding him krill again.

My main target food to get him to accept was crickets. I let them sit in the krill bucket overnight so they'd smell like them. Funny story I put this fat cricket in and it managed to grab hold of the aro and was on his back riding him like a cowboy for about 2 minutes until the arowana could get him to let go. He rode him underwater and everything. It was the funniest thing. Wish I coulda filmed it. So basically, I had no luck with the crickets.

In addition to that, I tried to get him on tilapia. For the longest he would just ignore it and swim past it. Then he got around to biting and spitting it out. FINALLY last night after 10 days of starvation, he snatched up his first piece!!!:headbang2:headbang2 This morning he ate more. Made my frickin day!:D
Now I just need to see what else I can get him to eat. Possibly food sticks but I hear that can be quite a challenge. Here are some shots of him. Please excuse the quality. Crappy camera phone:screwy:

Great pic's from a camera phone. Beautiful looking Arowana, too. Thanks for sharing the pictures and good luck getting him use to other types of food.
