I have successfully bred my first fish. A pair of cons. Here is my dilema. I put them in my tank with my oscars because they weren't breeding to begin with. They did well in with the oscars, and all was good. Lately I noticed a pair of the cons acting real aggressive, and hiding behind a big rock. I cleaned the tank tonight, and lifted up the rock, and walla fry hiding in one of the cavities of the rock. Should I leave them in there, and let the oscars pick off the fry as they get bigger, and venture out, or should I try and move them to another tank, and raise them up a little bigger before I feed them to the oscars? I originally bought them to use as feeders, and just for fun. How would I move them? Here are a couple pics of the settup. The fry are in a little crevice behind the rock.

Oh yeah the only other tank I have available and running right now is a 10 gallon that has been without fish for about a month.

Let 'em grow a little bit, and feed them good quality food. They'll make better feeders for your oscars.

If you can create a "safe" area like a rockpile that the oscars cant get into, the cons will defend the fry until they are ready to spawn again then chase them away,no hassle feeding day!I dont think the added hassle of trying to get them out and growing them in a 10g would really be worth it

Sounds like good advice. I planned on feeding them to the o's anyway. I'm fixing to set up a 75 gal. as soon as I make a stand for it. (I'll have to make a DIY thread for it) I was thinking about putting the breeding pair of cons in it, and I have been trying to find another type of breeding fish to add to it so basically just 2 breeding pairs of like size fish. Do any of you think a pair of firemouth would do alright with the cons?

Chances are the firemouth's would pair up with the cons. Your best you have a 75G as a show tank and the smaller tanks as breeders.
My parents kick thier fry out, meaning they dont defend them, when they hit .5" or so, maybe smaller. From then they could hold thier own against 5" angels! Even hungry tetras and clown loaches.
It's not really worth it to be growing them out in the 10G. Just divide the tank so the oscar cant get into, say 1/5th of the tank. The fry than can move freely between both worlds, and retreat to the 1/5th, away from the oscar.
