The cichla grow outs I got in on Wednesday that only ate bloodworms and guppies just took their first pellets without being mixed with anything!!

I started mixing a blend of crushed up Hikari cichlid gold and massivore with their blood worms and brine shrimp. I decided I was going to try some Hikari food sticks, I threw in a couple pieces of one and to my surprise they hit them, didnt spit them out and fought over the rest of the pieces.

I feel like such a proud dad right now! 3 days of mixing pellets in and these guys are already taking pellets!

Congrats, alot easier on the long run when it comes to eating pellets
 
Thanks! I was honestly expecting to have to mix the food sticks like I had done with the other pellets but once they hit them (I threw one in just to see what happened) they couldn't get enough.

I just can't believe it only took 3 days of trying!
 
I feel ya, its a great feeling having your bass on pellets, and a lot of extra money in your pocket for more FISH..........Congrats
 
Nice....wish I could have that sort of luck. lol
 
Hopefully they will continue eating the pellets and not regress. Having to keep supplying them with live is challenging.
