I Recently bread Syno Multi Catfish!!!!!!!!!!!

It was great. I had no idea that they would even breed in my cichlid tank and I went downstairs to the tank and three little guys were swimming around. I yelled to my wife, "CATFISH BABIES!!!"

Anyway it was very cool so I thought I'd share.

Anyone else bread these fish?

I'm attempting to breed the multi's right now, have 15 in a 135 with a bunch of different mouthbrooders. Just picked up two that have bred numerous times for a guy in the past, so hopefully the rest of my group will clue in and I'll be up to ears in catfish fry! I've bred the petricola (lucipinnis) a couple of times in the past, so I figure it's just a matter of time before the multi's do.

how are your synodontis? i was thinking of getting 2

I actually just sold the three fry. But they were AWESOME!!

Man its cool cause you can put your hand in the tank when they are super small and they will just swim around your hand and its hard to get them off. They like suction to your hand. Weird but cool. My wife was laughing at me because I couldn't get the little guy off my hand.

They are the hardest thing to get rid of in my cichlid tank. They remind me of little tiny sharks when they swim.

TipStylez: I guess there is a way you can just look and see if its a male or female. I read all about it but mine where never still enough to look. I never bothered to catch them and really look.
