i have had my 3 RB's together for about 2 months and they are about 3 inches. all of the sudden i noticed that 2 of them have fin nips on their tail and underside. anyone know what could be causing this?

they are well feed. (2 times a day, mixture of perch, chicken, beefheart, silver sliders, and flakes stolen from the tetras)

fin nips really aren't anything to worry about, it's pretty normal at that size. just keep an eye out for signs of more serious aggression. you should consider cutting the chicken and beefheart out of their diet tho, they are not a healthy food option.

Well i just ran out of beefheart so i guess its a good time to hear that its bad for them so i dont have to buy more. I thought chicken was good for them? also, the guy at the LFS recommended chicken liver, he said its healthy and will bring out the color. anyone hear of this before?

yeah, he's wrong... stick to fish, pellets, and flake
