This is crazy, the lady at my LRS was talking to me about this last night when I bought my new Leo. She said she has quite a few Sugar Gliders but doesn't live in St. Paul. I think its nuts to ban a species from a city and not state-wide.

You should try living in Ontario lol. It's all by individual city here. For instance, where I live you can't have any marsupials (including suger gliders). You also can't own boas or pythons of any kind, "terrapins", Syrian Wild Ass, Sea Elephants, etc. You can however, own a cobra or Komodo dragon...

Sounds like a job for Burt Reynolds and the Bandit! People got to have their sugar glider fix in St. Paul!

Hee Haw!!!!

And, up until 1997, also banned were such notable public hazards as ferrets, iguanas, rabbits and geckos. Seriously, geckos.

Fishwise we can't have toadfish (harmless) and lionfish. But we can have stingrays, electric eels and STONEFISH!

I can understand the banning of some animals if they are dangerous, endangered or if they were to get loose and populate an area, but geckos?
