I'm in the midst of building a cube"ish" tank for some type of reptile, most likely a gecko. It's dimensions outside are 29" long 29.5" high and 27" wide so thats around 100 gallons. The front and 2 of the sides are glass, the front can be slid up or down to access the tank. The bottom and back are sealed wood, and the top is a screen that can be slid in and out to access the tank. During the summer it's going to be kept in the basement that stays around 65*-70* but i can get heat for it, via a lamp, pad or whatever i need.
With it being as high as it is, i was thinking some kind arboreal gecko. I really like leopard geckos, but i want something that's going to use the whole tank. I like the looks of Crested and Gargoyle geckos, but they're kind of pricey. I'd like to either have a group or a pair. I'm not looking to spend over $200 dollars for the equipment along with the reptiles. I'm not too big on the whole humidity thing, but if its necessary i'll definitely do it. Is there anything that is from the desert and will climb?
Please shoot me some common/scientific names and i'll do some research.
Thanks,
Will
