300 liter aquarium or 80g 48" in length. 6400 liter an hour turn over rate with filtration.

Looking for some suggestions on stocking this. Prefer fairly large fish and predatory. The plan is to use this aquarium as a grow out for my larger 8 x 2 x 2 tank. So nothing that will out grow a 8 x 2 x 2 tank please!

I've had a browse and just can't decide on what to put in it.

Nothing. It's in a storage currently until i move house in about 8 months. Just don't have the space for it here. Move should be around July time.

If anyone else has other suggestions drop them here please :)

Haven’t kept many predators but would suggest you figure out your stock and get the slow growers for the growout and wait for the big tank for fast growers. My IT dtas are 2 years old and went from 2” and range 8-12”, my venezuelan pike is 1 year old and went from 2.5” to around 13”. If I had the pike first it could have eaten the dats when small or I would have had to pay 4x as much for bigger dats.

is that tank 13" or 15" wide? looks to be a tall skinny tank so i wouldnt suggest anything over 7-8" fully grown.

ive been considering an orinoco dwarf pike for my community. really cool looking fish but ive never kept one. raphael catfish are also a good size bottom feeder for that tank.

cool tank though. i lile the curved corners. is that a truvu?

edit: i just saw the bit about how its a grow out tank. if i was starting a predator tank I'd stick with pike cichlids and some cool catfish.

Go with something strange. A pair of Luciocephalus pulcher and a boulengerella maculata with a rocket gar would be nice. Get a pike theme going. Heavy planting is crucial.
