400 pages of threads on DIY stands...
You guys need to make a sticky thread that can't be commented on with the best stand design for different categories. For example what the best professional carpenter would make, the best to do its job but not be complete overkill, easiest to make for people with limited tools/skills, or cheapest to make, etc
Yea its cool that all the 1st timers like myself post how they built their mediocre stand, but its tough to sort through 400 pages of it to find one that a real professional at the top of his game built.
I say this because I don't know much about the engineering of stands, I can throw a bunch of 2x4's together but their has to be a mathematically best and most efficient way of building a stand.
