my pond was green and teeming with algae(pea soup type),well it was ok for me because it is not overstock, plus the majority of the stock are air breathers.but just today, the water was brown.it seems like the green algaes died off.maybe because there was no sun for 2days,all rain.
Should i worry bout this?will the dead algaes pollute the water?
The stock btw are 2 gars,3 bichirs and 1 fh and 1 oscar plus 1 rtc.pond is 10'x4'x3.

Why do you want algae in your pond? Im trying to get rid of algae. Its okay for algae to die off. They will grow back as soon as the sun is back out. You dont have to worry about dead algae. Just scoop out the dead algae and throw it away.

thanks for the reply..i don't like the algaes,i just did not mind having it on my pond...just wanted to know if the dead algaes will cause pollution?

Check your parms. Enough rain water can change pH and chemistry of water. The algae die off shouldn't be a problem in a pond your size, but should be checked. A swing in parms. can result from the decomp of the plants.
