Sump
Has 3
Chambers and is 6x2x18 inches
First chamber is filled with japanese mat, 2nd chamber matala mats and some ceramic rings on top and the 3rd
Is filled with scrubbies. I added a divider and filled it with k1 but removing it as it gets messy and the k1 does not circulate well ,any suggestions on how to
Improve it? Likeamy auggeated mesia to add ?

If it goes under all the chambers anything that floats will have very little effect on filtration as it will just bypass everything.

It needs to go over , under , over , under , and always end over , this way the water is forced to pass thru the media

Not sure why everyone is jumping on the K1 bandwagon, if you're going to build a purpose-built filter to house it correctly then it's probably great stuff, but everyone seems to be trying to chuck it in all kinds of old filters perhaps just for the novelty of having moving media.

Were you having water problems before adding the K1? TBH I'd forget about it and add some other submerged media like matrix, glass or ceramic rings, etc etc if you NEED more bio media (which I doubt you would). The only other thing that sticks out to me is your drinking-straw-sized plumbing. How big is your tank and how much flow are you aiming for?

thanks.
My main tank is 8x2.5x2.5
I have no problem with ammonia/nitrite and PH.
I just want to improve my sump more as I"m planning to move 3 more 20 inch arowanas into the main tank.
Btw for K1. any large container design for K1?
