I have a 60 gallon tank which has 12 small Geophagus surinamensis, 7 small clown loaches, a single filament barb (all the others died), a headstander, and two plecos. That totals 24 fish but my tank still looks a little empty so I wanna get some more. My problem has always been that every fish I like can't go in a 60 gallon without quickly outgrowing it. And before you say "just get a bigger tank" I can't, so I would like to make do with what I have.

Does anyone have any suggestions for fish I could put in my tank right now? Something that won't outgrow it (and is compatable with current setup). Any and all ideas welcome.

You're fully stocked. The geos, if really Geophagus surinamensis, are going to get big. They will eventually be too much for your tank alone.

I realize this but that brings me back to my original issue, everything outgrows my tank. Do you at least have any suggestions for future fish which won't outgrow my tank? Something more on the unique side?
