I might be selling my 55 and getting a 75 gallon tank from a friend. I have really hard time deciding what fish to keep, I want at least one large centerpiece fish and a couple tankmates, what do you guys suggest?

didnt you already post this?
ditch the oscar idea and get a nice CA cichlid as your center piece. then you can go with smaller cichlid tankmates. maybe look into some plecos.
or go with a planted tank with a couple of schooling types of fish. that would keep the tank pretty active and easy to maintain.
then theres the rift option. maybe go with african cichlids. not my cup of tea, but there are lots of options with africans. just be weary that a lot of african cichlids have different needs, so youd have to find ones that can be kept together. all that information is available in the african cichlid section of the forum.
you coulds also go with a smaller arowana. but then your options for tankmates becomes limited.

a smaller ro probably could. but definitely not a silver

What kind would that be? There is only one word that describes all kinds of aros.... HUGE!!! Sorry, but there is no way an aro could live in a 75 for life.

You definately could put a young one in a 75 and when time comes upgrade to like a 150 and then a 225.

Cichlids! Africans like Labidochromis, Aulonocara, or Melonochromis (All are rock dwelling, notice I didn't say "AND" because it all depends on how many, gender dispertion, and existing tankmates). All these guys like 7.0 to 8.0pH, so if you choose this route buffer, buffer!

S.A/C.A. - If I were going to build up a another tank, definitely Convicts! Brash, tough, super hardy!
