Hi, my first post!
I've been keeping cichlids for the last 45 years, and mostly Tangs for the last 30 years. I've just moved and have cut back from, at one time of having over 100 tanks (mostly Tangs) to having only 10 tanks.
I want to keep cichlids other then Tangs, I plan on setting up a 75gl tank with a young breeding pair of "Green Terrors" (the ones with the red in their tail) that I'm getting next week, and would like to also add a pair of pikes to the tank. First can I do it, if I provide a lot of driftwood and rock caves for hiding? If I can, what types of pikes would work, I'm I "stuck" with only being able to keep Saxitilus type pikes, or could I go bigger, and redder? I remember seeing a red pike that Dan Ye Jennings had in the, I believe, the Chicago ACA Convention Show. I think it was one of the most beautiful fish I have ever seen. I also seem to remember, that Jeff Rapps had some incredible red pikes at a couple of ACA conventions for sale. Does anyone know which pikes these are? and if I could keep them in a 75gl tank? Any help and/or suggestions would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Daniel
