Suggestions for a cool top-swimming fish for my 150 gallon

Hello,
I am planning on what to stock my new 150 gallon tank with, the tank will be upgraded to a 300 gallon in 1.5 years. I am working out the stocking for bottom dwellers and middle swimming fish but I don't have any top swimming fish that are cool that I want. Please suggest something that you think will be cool. Thank you
 
maybe an aro?
depending on the other species as i see them around the middle and top areas of the aquarium most often.
 
I would say a Aro or a Gar
 
Thanks for the suggestions, I don't really want an arowana because I don't want anything that is to to aggressive or gets over 12 inches. Same goes with the gar. How about african butterflys? How big do they get and how aggresive are they? Thank you
 
Those fish are awesome, I'm looking for information on them right now. Are they easily available and how much do they usually cost? Thank you
