Im looking to set up a planted 60gal. I love canisters. I wanted to get a canister that has a UV light so i can cut down on green algea with high powered lights. Id also love something with an inline heater. I want to tank to be as clutter free as possible.

In my experience I have seen an exponential correlation between the number of gadgets built into a canister filter and how soon the filter will fail. Fixing these failures are generally much more expensive than if you had separate components.

In short, don't get a can with an internal heater. Even Eheim couldn't build a canister with a reliable internal heater. Use a Hydor ETH external heater with what ever canister filter you choose.

UV? - Seems like it should be easy enough to integrate into a filter without compromising the filter design too much?

Sweet. Aquatop was the canister i was looking at. Just wanted to hear someone say they have a good experance with it. Ill go with the external heater as well. Like i said...gona set this one up slow and make it perfect. But.....i will to a build thread.
