Finally got my growout festivums and jurupari into their adult tank, still waiting on the senegalus and ABK to put some size on (or alternately, waiting to get my arowana sold) and then the tank will be empty. So probably not until spring, but I'm just looking for any suggestions. Nothing really rare/expensive, but common is OK as there's a bunch of super common herps I've never kept (leos and beardies for example).

I really would go with leopard gecko's.
They're easy to keep and fun too.
And can become pretty responsive to there owners, my always wants to come out of the enclosure and explore.
You could keep 1 male and 2 females in an enclosure that size, or just 3 females if you don't want any breeding.

I've always found crested geckos to be pretty interesting....although not sure if they are something you've kept/or have already

Ball python, childrens python, spotted python, white lip python, gopher snake, sand boas, garter snakes, hogg island boa(not sure entirely), corn snakes, rat snakes, king snakes, some asian rat snakes. I am sure I am missing a few. Is there anything you are specifically looking for in a reptile. The list is quite large list that you can put in a 55gal.

go to the everglades and find a burm,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,:D

It's funny re: leos...when I was a kid back in the early 80s a shop I used to go into pretty regularly had a leo in. He used to get in some pretty cool stuff, some that were pretty unusual back then (green lacertas, roughneck monitors, sungazers) and I really liked the leo. It was an adult, normal phase (I don't think there were any of the common morphs then) and it was really cool. I wanted it, badly...but strangely enough I've never kept one.

I'd actually like to get one/some, but I kind of feel like the height of the 55 would be somewhat wasted on them. I have a 20 long sitting around that would probably make more sense for them...

A standard 55g is what.. 22'' tall?
You could do a trio of crested geckos, they're fun and pretty easy.
And would appreciate height.

Those Williamsi Eric has for sale would be very nice in a 55 and make a really nice planted terra!
