Suggestions for bowfin diet

Got my bowfin (6") eating one large "nightcrawler" worm every other day, or so. He took a piece of fresh shrimp once, but eventually spit it out. Any suggestions on other foods to try. I would love to wean him to no live foods if possible. I sure could use some suggestions. I'll post pics of him tonight after work.

Dogfish like fish, crawdads, nightcrawlers and any thing elese that swims & fits in their mouths. I've seen them eat frogs & a mouse.
I never kept one but books say fish are 90% of their natural diet.
Get a small one if you want to have any chance of it eatting pellets.

We fed Krill, mysis, nighcrawlers, frozen brine and even ate some HBH supersoft krill pellets

I would try and get it to eat pellets. Bowfin will eat anything.

mine will take pellets if the bass dont get them first.. he loves market shrimp though.

by "pellets", are you referring to shrimp pellets or some other variety?
