I am looking for a mean fish with teeth. I want a predatory fish similar to the type of fish a piranha is. That kind of thing. I need suggestions for a 55-75 gallon tank, also suggestions for a 300 gallon tank. I already have a Red Belly, so that's out.

thanks ahead of time.

Perfect fish for a 55-75g tank, small predator-toothed fish---->SABER TOOTH TETRA..........A dozen to two dozen will be fine in the 75g............I too have been looking at Saber Tooth tetra, and I too have kept PYGO's, they both feed the same way as a schooling masacre...........

Aren't saber tooth tetras the exact same species as Payara? Or is that a smaller species of Hydrolycus? Anyone can help me on this answer PLEASE.

I'd do a dovii if I were you. Super agressive fish, and they look great too.

You can check this one out. They're a bit crazy, and pretty territorial. Some will actually think that about a 5 foot circumference outside the tank is theirs, and if you walk by, they'll act like this one.

Dovii is probably my #1 contestant in the time being.

Dovi, Barracuda, Umbie or a wolf fish (they are not very active but when they are hungry they take what they want).
