hi guys, i am planning to buy a pair of parrot fish, but i want keep them with some tank mates , so i request anyone to mention some tank mates for parrot fish.

I have a single ~7" parrot in a 300g with just about every type of CA/SA/African. There are also loaches, plecos, synos, bichirs, eels, pacos, red hook/wide bar silver dollars, and a ~9" soft shell turtle. The parrot paired up with a similar sized severum. They've been a pair for almost 2 years, never spawned or anything, but held their corner of the tank against all comers. Some considerably larger midas/RD/festea/mayan could not displace them. The smaller, but crazy aggressive mbunas (auratus, chepokae, etc...) couldn't either.

Depending on the parrots you get, just about anything. Their mouths won't let them do much damage. They can't bite unless they have a normal mouth. They push and shove but that is it.

They'll more than likely scoff tiny fish like neons though. Apart from that, in a tank where fish can escape headbutting, and wont damage the parrot, you have many, many options.
What tankmates are you considering OP?
