Alright so I've got a pair of female leo's and happen to have two V211 cages for them.

While I know their natural habitat is pretty much a couple dead roots here and there with a lot of rock cover, I'm keeping them on ReptiSand. Either red or white, I'm switching out to white this month to see which I prefer more.

I'd prefer to stay away from fake plants, was thinking about getting a low profile planter type deal the same length as the back and putting some desert plants such as aloe, thing without thorns and that don't require a lot of water.

Other then that I was going to either make some caves out of broken slate peices for hides or just place pre-made caves in there for hides, as well as some grapewood peices for them to climb around on.

Tanks measure 24"x22" or so foot plan and about 15" tall.

Here are some pics.

Open to suggestions, thanks.

I have a jade plant and aloe in both of my leopard gecko tanks. Both plants are hardy and you only have to water them twice a week. Just watch that the soil doesn't dry out too much. But most of these plants require strong lighting. I give them 12 on, 12 off.

Here's a pic of my one leopard gecko tank containing the aloe.

these things are great,just pricey...

Vision Cages are pricey but after owning one I wouldn't go with anything else in terms of keeping my reptiles, they're durable and you can tell they'll really last a lifetime.

I got mine for 50 a peice, they retail for somthing like $120 I think.

Vicious, I like the look of that tank. I'm actually going to either use some UVB bulbs or a bulb designed for freshwater aquarium plants to provide the proper spectrum for plants. Do you just plant it directly into your sand or do you have it in a pot that's recessed?

Thanks for the compliment. All my plants are in pots so I can easily remove them if need be. I usually have to add new potting soil to them a few times a year. The one light has a 75 watt plant bulb and the lamp housing on the right has a 150 watt ceramic heat emitter. That tank is a 30 gallon and contains 3 leopard geckos. I have 5 hides for them and they really like the caves that are a tight fit. I'm guessing they feel more secure in those.

What kind of soil do you use? I'm kind of wary of anything that contains fertilizer's or additional plant food chemicals, perhaps it's a bit overboard worrying about fertilizer's, though?

I just use clean top soil without fertilizers. I would never use anything like potting soil that contains those little white beads. I use miracle gro liquid plant fertilizer a few times a year on the plants.
