Suggestions for stocking 30 gal tanks

I have recently acquired 4 x 30gal (roughly) tanks and am unsure what to stock them with. As I already have community tanks I'm definitely looking to do species only tanks. The tanks are roughly 31.5(l)"x11.5(w)"x18(h)"

I'm interested to hear what people suggest for stocking ideas. Don't worry about what filtration/lighting I have as that will clearly change depending on the bio load and stock.

Single male Auratus for one, convict pair in another, neon shoal in another and some medium cichlid for the last one. Just my thoughts and some suggestions.
