Suggestions for TOP-level swimmers?

Do you guys have any suggestions for top level swimmers for a predatory community tank of dats and bichirs?

I'm looking for fish that stay around the top level for the majority of time.

Fish I cant house because I only have a 75g
Arowanas
GarsAnything else ridiculously too big for a 75g

lol i can't think of any off hand. what else will you have in your tank? most cichlids are everywhere fish lol what are you looking for in a fish?


a community biotope would be easier in a 75g. no real monsters fit into a 75 comfy.

i'd say go with a community if you want top, middle , and bottom dwellers

depending on the size of the dat, butterfly fish are a good choice. Some expendable top fish could be something like halfbeaks, but they would probably be eaten easily unless the dats are tiny grow-outs.

how bout some Killifish. If i remember correctly there is a fish from that family that gets pretty large! i think around 4 inches or so.

Golden wonder killies get around 4" although I'm not sure if that's the one you mean.

They're not easy to find but, you could try large-scale four-eyed fish (Anableps anableps). These are top-swimming foot-long livebearing fish.

I suggest archer fish although they prefer brakish.
