Suggestions needed

Hello All, I set up a 150G in late August. It was a second hand tank that came with some crushed coral for substrate. We rinced it out very well however that seems to often be particals of stuff floating around. I have purchased new rocks and I am trying to figure a way to change the rocks without taking the fish out. Do any of you have any ideas to help me out?

Depending on your fish count, I did the same thing a while back with a 130. I did though get lucky, I had a couple rubbermaids, so I emptied about 80% of the water, and nfilled what I could to save water, and plopped the fish in there, they were fine I didnt take out all the water, but left 20% ish, that was the best way I found to do things..

If you find a good way to switch up substraite without taking out/stressing fish, you've gotten one up on me, and all power to you! GOOD Luck

Hello there,

Unfortunately my love for fish is matched with my husband's love for snowmobiling and he went away for the week-end with some buddies. I do not have the muscle required to do it by myself so it will have to be done in 2 weeks only, because next week-end is booked solid. It is really hard for me to sit on my hands and wait but I have no choice. I will let you know how we make out. By the way, when I told my husband your suggestion he was like me "Wow why didn't I think of that??" Anyhow, thanks again and I will keep you informed.
