Suggestions on fixing 500 gallon acrylic tank

Just bought this tank for a good price, but the top brace is cracked and the crack continues to run down the side pannel about 2 inches. I'm wanting to get some advice on how to repair this monster so I can get it up and running.

Weldon 40 and acrylic patches

Drill the ends of the cracks first to prevent further running, then patch with weld-on #40 and 1/4"-1/2" thick patches. If you dont drill through the acrylic/cracks on the ends theyll just keep running even with a patch.
