I have a new 90 gallon tank with a juvenile Midas and a Green Terror. I know once the Midas grows up he will take up a lot of space but what other cichlids, if any, would be cool or even fit in there with them? I don't wanna overstock but My Green Terror quit growing a while ago at about 7 inches and it seems like I could fit one more small or medium sized cichlid in there. Or maybe a few non-cichlids like cory's or loaches. What do you think? I'd appreciate any advice!!!

None. You could keep the Midas by itself, and maybe with the green terror for some time but you probably will have some aggression issues at some point in the future.

Maybe a little school of clown loaches? You could do a little school of loaches and a breeding pair of green terror and it would look awesome. Or the loaches and Midas and see how it goes.

How big is the young midas and how aggressive are they? You could add some danios if they aren't to small to be eaten, maybe a blood parrot, or small silver dollars. I have some 4 inch blue and gold gouramis in a cichlid tank before and they did well. They topped out at about 6 inches.

I wouldn't add anything, if it were me I would just keep the midas and gt together until you start running into problems. take it from someone who has added more than they should in the past, it never works out, you just end up with dead fish or having to rehome them

The Midas throws a wrench into things as far as stocking goes. If it’s still small you’ll be ok for a while, but in a 4ft tank long term I personally wouldn’t have done it.

I have a similar situation with my male GT he’s a really nice looking fish I’ve had him about a year now. He grew steadily up to 7” in about 9 months but since then his growth has slowed considerably. He is housed in a 90 with 7 mollies 1 male and 6 females, 5 Emerald Green Corys and 3 Krobia Xingu Orange (for now anyway). There is no aggression other then the obligatory half hearted chase around feeding time. My point being without the added Midas you could build a really nice display around the GT, which will continue to grow albeit at a slower rate than before, which I don’t necessarily consider a bad thing. If your GT is a female it might be starting to max out.
