I have this 40 gallon breeder tank laying around and a couple spare filters so i thought i would get it up and running again.I don't have any clue what i want to put in it.I like the idea of a single green terror but fear it may not be long enough for it. What do you think? Any other ideas?

pair of A. centrarchus, blue acaras, firemouths, A. sajica, A. cutteri, colony of gymnogeophagus and some dithers. There are lots of cool cichlids.

yup

I think a GT would be fine in a 40gB, they're pretty massive except for depth.

Unless you get that "gene-freak" that gets 20", he should be fine.
And either way he'll be fine for at least years.

a pair of senegal bichirs an ABK and an african spotted leaf fish maybe 2

frontosa's are kinda cool I guess for a 40 gal

If Im not mistaken Frontosas need to be kept in a colony (1M:3F ratio) and require 100+ gal aquarium.

Beautiful fish nonetheless
