suggestions to put with silver aro

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Small aros are fragile and can easily be bullied by other fish. Best if you can keep it by itself for a few months. I have a 4" black aro which I have added some guppies to the tank. Figure he can eat the fry and eventually he'll probably get to eat the guppies.

Please take everyones advice and leave him by himself for awhile. I didn't and went through a lot of stress over that descision. I know I put my arow through lots of stress he didn't need. Thank god he's okay now but I should've listened. I will never do it that way again. Everything they've told me has been true thanks MFK.

anybody have some suggestions about what to put with my new 3-4" silver aro?

uhm! if your tank has plants and designs put frontosa, red peacock, venustus anything that has shinny blue coloration then use blue light, the light will show the greenest of your silver's scale, will make the fontosa's anal fins glow. be very careful with the size, get fronts that your aro wont be able to eat but not too big to bully your aro

if its a simple tank can get gars, snakehead, shovel nose, redtailed catfish, CK, oscars. size is always a factor never get something that will fit in their mouth, and get them together while their still young cause some of them could be very aggressive

i agreed with everyone, leave him alone for a while, until he gets a little bigger.
I left mine alone for some months, with one pleco only, just adding artemias and feeders.
he just loved them.
i'm sure that way the fish didn't get much stress, and make his colors great.

And, after growing a little, take care to don't put it with fishes that are too big or he may get eaten or bullied.
