HI,
I live in CA and have finally given up hope on getting piranha. I need suggestions on what type of fish would suit my wants considering I cant get piranha. The fish must be able to live its life out in my 75g. I basically want something thats rather agressive and of course CA legal. any ideas?:)

I agree with the Jag Cichlid, you would have been disappointed with the piranhas if you want an extremely aggressive fish. They tend to be very shy.

I would have suggested a Jag too but due to your parameters of living out his life in a 75g, he might not be happy.

How about a nice tank of Mbuna, there will be plenty of action. If you're looking for something that's a predator, then maybe some SA cichlids?

yes. a cichlid of some sort is what is what im looking into. how about a freshwater baracuda? Ill likely get a 100g in the near future to give myself more of a selection.

As someone said above, piranha aren't exactly aggressive. They just have a teeth, which doesn't make them aggressive, just dangerous. If looking for generally aggressive, sa/ca cichlids, as suggested, are good. There are a lot of possibilities there.
