Ok, i think i want to get rid of my Tinfoil Barbs. I have 3 of them in my 125 with my cichlids.

They are cool fish, but are crowding the tank i think. Well, to me they are. I would like something a little less intrusive.

I want something to clean up after my slobs that are my Oscar and Loisellei.
I just want something that will sift through the gravel for uneaten food.
And its very important that it needs to be hardy.

What out there would you guys immediately think of that you think is COOL.
I was thinking of a Pleco, but i dont want that LONG Pleco sh** in my tank. Do all Plecos have that nasty 3 foot long crap like the common plecos do? I like the smaller growing more colorful Plecos.

I need help.

I'd say Crayfish.. but your O will probably eat it... They are great for cleaning up the gravel....

try not to put plecos in your tank with a bichir in it. plecos might end up sucking the slime off of your ornate. clown loaches would be my choice but they have to be big enough not to get eaten by the ornate.

They would suck of his slime coat?????? :yuck: Sounds like a horror movie.

Ok, no Pleco.

Any other suggestions? What about those Synodontus cats? Would one of those work?

large synodontis always work. They no how to get along with cichlids, and just overall look great and work hard. here is a couple of my favorates:

and one of the best looking:

I have only kept the eurpterus (and lace(Not listed) and a 4" one that i don't know what it is)

P.S. this belongs in the bottomdwellers general topics

Replace the 3 tinfoils with three Hemiodus unimaculatus and one Synodontus multipunctatus

Awsome guys. Thanks. I've decided on a Synodontus. I just have to decide which kind now. I'm diggin the Eupterus.

That way i'll have two less fish in my tank that take up space and creat bio-load and give my other fish more room.

:D
