When I build my pond for the oscars I will have an empty 100gl.
I have no idea what to put in it. I really like catfish, bichir, cichlids(not africans), and natives. I want something unique. Can be one fish or a few. Just don't want to have to upgrade when they are grown. Also nothing that spooks easy. As I have nieces and my dad's gf has kids, and the tank isn't exactly in the living room but the fish can see into it. Also no saltwater or brackish please.

A 100 gal? If it were me I would go with some sort of Vieja cichlid. My favorite being an Agentine or Zonatus. These are beutiful large nasty cichlids that are not very common but very beutiful. Google vieja species and be ready to dig these cichlids if you don't already. I had a large Vieja 11 inch male in a 90 by himself for 6 years until he died suddenly. What a show peice he was and quite a character. Google Vieja species and check them out.

Might need some ideas for a pond soon also. Selling my horse and making the barn for fish. Has 3 stalls which easily can be made into 10'x10'x4' ponds.

Only issue with bichirs I have to find them online as we don't get them in the lfs often so I wouldn't get to pick them out personally. I have an albino senegalus already but only about 3" right now. Might do bichirs and a BGK in the 100. Still leaves stocking ideas for the 3 ponds.
